Villa Park, Birmingham, England - Aston Villa played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, with Hollywood star Tom Hanks in attendance.
The two-time Oscar winner was spotted in the stands at Villa Park, cheering on the home side in their claret and blue strip. Hanks, a known Aston Villa fan, was seen celebrating the team's goals and commiserating their near miss of a famous victory.
Villa took the lead through Ollie Watkins in the first half, but Liverpool fought back to lead 2-1 at the break. Steven Gerrard's side then extended their lead to 3-1 before Villa fought back to earn a point through goals from Philippe Coutinho and Emiliano Buendia.
The draw leaves Aston Villa 14th in the Premier League table, while Liverpool remain in the race for the top four. Hanks, who is currently filming a movie in Birmingham, will be hoping that Aston Villa can finish the season strongly and secure a top-half finish.
