Ace Hardware Honors Fallen Heroes With 1 Million American Flags
Ace to Collaborate with the VFW to Distribute Flags Nationwide this Memorial Day
Ace Hardware, the largest hardware retailer in the United States, announced today that it will collaborate with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to distribute 1 million American flags nationwide this Memorial Day. The flags will be distributed to VFW posts across the country, which will then distribute them to local veterans and their families.
"We are honored to partner with the VFW to help distribute these flags and show our support for our veterans," said John Venhuizen, president and CEO of Ace Hardware. "Memorial Day is a time to remember the sacrifices that our veterans have made, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who have served our country."
The flags are made in the USA from durable 200 denier nylon and finished with a durable canvas header and grommets. Nylon is a material that is made for flying, so these flags will be able to withstand the elements and fly proudly for years to come.
"We are grateful to Ace Hardware for their support of our veterans," said Keith Harman, national commander of the VFW. "These flags will be a meaningful way to honor the sacrifices that our veterans have made, and we are proud to partner with Ace Hardware to make this distribution possible."
The flags will be available for distribution at VFW posts nationwide beginning in May.
