Rays Win Second of Three
The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Kansas City Royals 5-4 on Friday night, boosted by clutch homers from Jose Siri and Yandy Diaz. The win gives the Rays a 2-1 lead in the three-game series.

Siri's home run came in the fourth inning, giving the Rays a 2-0 lead. Diaz's homer came in the seventh inning, breaking a 4-4 tie and giving the Rays the lead for good.
McCarthy's Misplay
With the Royals down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, center fielder Jake McCarthy misplayed a ground ball, allowing Randy Arozarena to score the winning run from second base.
Rays Back to .500
The win moves the Rays back to .500 at 66-66. It was just their second win in the past six games.
Strong Start Against Royals
Winning two of three in Kansas City was no small feat considering the Royals started the night 31-17 at home.

The Rays will look to clinch the series win on Saturday night when they face the Royals in the series finale. Shane McClanahan will start for the Rays, while Brad Keller will start for the Royals.
